PJD Guitars is continuing to build a presence in Australia, with a new shipment of Origin Series guitars now on its way following a strong start for the brand since its Australian launch earlier this year.
Paytons introduced PJD Guitars to the Australian market at the Sydney Guitar Show in March, where the Origin St John Apprentice was awarded Best in Show. Since then, the first shipment has made its way into independent guitar stores across NSW and Queensland, as well as into New Zealand, with stock now all but completely sold through.
The response from retailers has been particularly encouraging, with a growing number of independent stores choosing to bring PJD into their ranges.
A Growing Range of PJD Origin Series Guitars
The new shipment will replenish the existing Origin Series range while also introducing new colours and models.
The Origin Series currently includes the Carey, St John, York and Woodford, offering a distinctive selection of electric guitar designs across the range. With the first shipment now largely in the hands of dealers and players, the incoming stock will give more retailers the opportunity to put PJD Guitars in front of their customers.
For independent guitar stores, PJD offers something different from the more familiar names that dominate much of the market. The distinctive designs, accessible price points and character of the Origin Series give retailers another option to offer players looking for something outside the usual choices.
From Sydney Guitar Show to Australian Guitar Stores
The Sydney Guitar Show provided the first opportunity for many Australian players and retailers to see PJD Guitars in person.
Winning ‘Best in Show’ with the St John Apprentice was a memorable start, but the response since the show has been just as important. The first shipment has now been distributed through the dealer network, with PJD guitars finding their way onto store walls and into the hands of players.
That early uptake has given us confidence in the opportunity for PJD in Australia and has helped establish the first foundations of the brand’s dealer network.
We’re now looking forward to continuing that process as more independent retailers discover the range.
More to Come from PJD Guitars
The arrival of the new shipment marks the next step for PJD Guitars in Australia, with more Origin Series guitars on the way and new colours and models expanding the range.
There is also more to come later in the year, with the St John Origin Apprentice Bass and St John Origin Standard Bass due to arrive in November 2026, bringing the distinctive St John design into the PJD bass range.
For now, we’re looking forward to getting the latest Origin Series guitars into Australian stores and giving more players the opportunity to discover what PJD Guitars has to offer.
